Christian Maurer wins the adventure race for the sixth time
Christian Maurer, the swiss-born Paragliding athlete, won the Redbull X-Alps adventure race for the sixth time. He paraglided, hiked and ran over 1,100 km across the Alps from Salzburg to Peille near Monaco.
The major contributor to his victory was when he was able to land on Mt. Titlis in Switzerland, the highest turn point of the race, saving him the 2,000m ascent on foot. He was able to take off, just before the weather closed in. This was his 6th win making it historic indeed!
