Bir Billing, Himachal:

This historic gliding spot is situated in kangra valley of Himachal Pradesh. The place is also known as “Paragliding capital of our nation.” The journey starts from Billing, where you take-off at a height of 8000ft from sea level and landing is done in Bir at a height of 4300ft. (approx. 14km from Bir). The important reason behind its popularity is suitable air currents and the breathtaking views of the Himalayan range.

Best time to visit- November to January as all the mountains around are covered with snow

Kamshet, Maharastra:

For those who are looking for paragliding near Mumbai or Pune, Kamshet is the desired location. It is located at about 110km from Mumbai and 45km from Pune. The major benefit here is you get to customize your route for paragliding within a limited boundary. The altitude here is 2,200ft above sea level. You leap from the tower hill and capture a mesmerizing view of the Sahyadri ranges and the Western Ghats. Best time to visit Kamshet is between October to May, so basically when it isn’t raining.

Dobhi between Kullu and Manali:

Best time to visit Dobhi valley is from May till the end of October.

Bhimtal:

Best time to visit- The best time to visit Sanasar is from May-June and September-October because of the temperature and wind currents.
